The Brothers of the Zeta Beta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. are sponsoring its 2026 Talent Hunt on May 3, 2026 at 3:00pm, at Timothy Baptist Church. The first-place award for the competition is $750, the second place award is $500 and the third place award is $250. Participants will receive a $50.00 gift card for participating.
I am reaching out to you to solicit your support in identifying eligible students to participate in the 2026 Talent Hunt. The criteria for students to participate is as follows:
1. All contestants must be high school students in the 9th to 12th grades at the time of the Talent Hunt competition.
2. All Talent Hunt competition presentations including instrumental numbers must be memorized and must be dignified and in good taste. Performances not recited from memory do not qualify for a 1st place.
3. Talent Hunt contestants can use track music for accompaniment as long as there is no lead instrumental or background vocals included on the track.
4. Talent Hunt contestants can choose to participate in one of the following trained art categories: MUSIC: Vocal or instrumental. Genres: classical, semi-classical, gospel or jazz. (A printed copy of the music (score) is required for the judges to analyze.) INTERPRETIVE MOVEMENT TO MUSIC: Ballet, modern dance or tap. SPEECH: Poetry, oration, monologue, etc. (A printed script should be provided for each judge to analyze.) VISUAL ART: Sculpture, photography, drawing or painting. (Submit 3 to 5 pieces for judging.) Auditions are tentatively scheduled in Gainesville on March 7th and Athens on March 21st. Your support in recommending some talented youth would be much appreciated.
